Russell and I rescued some tree's from land clearing and used them as posts to build our little humpy to live on our block in 1988.
Our block had been cleared when the area was subdivided. Our blue heeler, Max helped Russell and I fence our block.
Lovingly we planted out our very own mango tree plantation in 1989.
When the developer cleared they filled in the waterway, so it wasn't long before we got machinery to dig it back out so we could landscape the billabong.
In 1990 our house was built just in time for the birth of our first born child Adam.
This was the beginning of our garden at Muntalunga. Over the years we have planted hundreds of tree's on the block.
Only one post of the old humpy still standing. The rescued posts from 1988 were great food for the termites!
Same paddock where Russell and our dog Max built the fence. Mango trees are in bloom at the moment, we might actually get a mango this year!
Our mango tree's are no longer for farming but rather supplement the diets of the local wildlife.
Our billabong is the meeting place for lot's of local wildlife.
Can't really see the house anymore from the hill near the creek, love how my tree's have grown!
This isn't our house, it's our home. The place we raise our family, plan adventures, create, love, cry, laugh and most importantly belong.
